Geotest Introduces a Universal Receiver Interface for PXI
AUTOTESTCON Valley Forge, PA. Geotest - MTS, a Marvin Group company, announced the introduction of the GX7500, an integrated universal modular receiver interface for PXI systems. The GX7500 provides PXI systems with mass interconnect to Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) and Units Under Test (UUTs).
The GX7500 is modular and allows users to select any combination of mass interconnect products from Virginia Panel Corporation (Click & Series 90 receivers), MacPanel Corporation (MPX and L2000 receivers), ITT Cannon (ZIF connectors), or other vendors. The GX7500 is designed and integrated with a vertical hinged mounting frame that will mount directly to a PXI chassis.
Selection of up to 8 receiver modules in the GX7500 makes the GX7500 series receiver the most versatile system on the market, giving you the flexibility to choose a connector that best meets your test requirements. Off the shelf connector modules available are ITT Cannon ZIF connectors and BNC panels (one module width), VPC Click and MacPanel MPX Receivers (two module width), and MacPanel L2000 and VPC Series 90 Receivers (4 or 8 module width). Custom modules can be manufactured to accommodate any vendor's connector. The connector modules handle various signal requirements - including optics, digital, power, coaxial, and twinaxial.
The GX7500 and other PXI products introduced by Geotest were developed as a result of a growing demand for low-cost, high-performance alternatives to VXI and rack instrumentation. Geotest also offers a wide range of additional PXI instruments including low-cost, high-speed digital I/O, ROM emulators and switching, and a PXI chassis.
