Geotest Shows FLYER at AUTOTESTCON 2003
AUTOTESTCON 2003 - ANAHEIM, Calif. (September 20, 2003) - Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a global supplier of electronic test equipment for aerospace, semiconductor, telecom, medical, industrial and military applications, announced that they will be showing a FLYER rugged military vehicle in their booth at AUTOTESTCON 2003.
The FLYER, manufactured by FLYER Defense, LLC, a division of The Marvin Group in Inglewood, Calif., combines high mobility with packaging design, allowing for easy transport by or within select military aircraft (such as the CH-53E and CH-47D heavy lift helicopters, or the KC-130 tactical tanker/transport, respectively). FLYER also offers the FLYER ITV, capable of being transported in the MV-22 Tilt Rotor aircraft. The vehicle offers integration of two weapons (primary and secondary), portability, energy efficiency, and tactical benefits such as agility and stability. Built on a tubular space frame, the FLYER is light (75 mph, top speed), rugged, features 14-18" ground clearance, and meets the highest military requirements (MIL-STD 1275A, MIL-STD 461C).
Designed to replace the U.S. Marine Corp's aging fast attack vehicles that are reaching their anticipated end-of-life, the FLYER performs long range reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting acquisition missions with ease. Its capabilities and features make the FLYER an ideal vehicle for armed forces in rugged terrain.
Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, also a division of The Marvin Group, will showcase a FLYER, furnished with a missile launcher and two Hellfire missiles, in their booth space (#1101) at AUTOTESTCON.
