Geotest Introduces New PXI Time Interval Counters
Geotest Introduces New PXI Time Interval Counters
Santa Ana, CA. (February 27, 2001) - Geotest - MTS, a Marvin Group company, today announced the introduction of GTX2210/2220, Time Interval Counters.
The GTX2210/2220 counters use reciprocal counting techniques to achieve high-resolution measurements on lower frequency signals without sacrificing measurement time. Reciprocal counting provides a fixed number of digits of resolution for all frequencies rather than a fixed resolution in Hz for the same gate time. For example, the GTX2210 provides 8 digits of resolution while the GTX2220 provides 10 digits of resolution for frequencies from 1 Hz to 100 MHz in one second.
The ability to precisely resolve frequency and time yields both increased accuracy as well as reduced measurement time. For example, with the GTX2220, you can determine any frequency to 0.1 part per million (seven digits) in just 1mSec., and resolve each time measurement to 100pSec. Couple that with 2300 measurements per second, one of the fastest rates available, and you can acquire more data in a single second than a typical GPIB counter can in ONE MINUTE!
Availability. Product shipment for the GTX2210/2220 is scheduled for May, 2001.
