PXI Systems Alliance Elects Geotest as Sponsor Member
Irvine, CA. (March 27, 2002) - The PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA) recently announced its election of Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc. as a Sponsor Member of the Alliance.
As a Sponsor Member, Geotest–MTS joins the Board of Directors of the PXISA and assumes a key role in promoting the PXI architecture. PXI (PCI eXtensions for Instrument) is a state-of-the-art rugged PC platform for measurement and automation. It was developed to bridge the gap between desktop PC systems and high-end VXI and GPIB systems.
“We are pleased that the Alliance has selected Geotest to take an active role in leading the test and measurement industry into this new standard. I am very excited about PXI because it offers a high-performance alternative to VXI and rack instrumentation at a significantly lower cost,” said Loofie Gutterman, Geotest’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
