Geotest Produces PXI Programmable Resistor

Irvine, CA (June 14, 2002) Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a global supplier of electronic test equipment for aerospace, semiconductors, telecom, medical, industrial and military applications, today announced the release of a new programmable resistor - the GX1164.

The GX1164 is a PXI multi-channel programmable resistor board that provides the user with four programmable resistor channels. Three of the channels may be programmed from 1 ohm to 64K-ohm  with 1-ohm resolution and the fourth channel can be programmed from 10 ohm to 640K-ohm with 10-ohm resolution. Custom resistor ranges and resolutions are also available. An on-board EEPROM provides for personalized calibration data.

PXI is a state-of-the art, rugged PC platform for measurement and automation. Geotest developed the GX1164 and other PXI products as a result of a growing demand for low-cost, high-performance alternatives to VXI and rack instrumentation. Geotest also offers a wide range of additional PXI instruments including low-cost, high-speed digital I/O, ROM Emulators, switching, and PXI chassis & controllers. Geotest’s test equipment allows test engineers to design system configurations specifically for automatic test equipment (ATE) systems, data acquisition, process control applications, and other industrial applications.

Availability: Product shipment for the GX1164 is August 2002.
