Geotest Adds New Features to 20 Slot, 6U PXI Chassis
Irvine, CA (May 12, 2006) - Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, Inc., a Marvin Group Company, today announced the addition of new features to its GX7000 6U chassis series. Featuring per slot temperature monitoring, system power supply monitoring, and software controlled PXI trigger mapping, the new GX7000A "Smart" chassis series offers functionality that is unique to Geotest PXI chassis products with no price increase over its predecessor, the GX7000.
"The GX7000A’s features set a new level of price/performance for 6U PXI chassis. The innovative thermal management and on-board monitoring of both temperature and system power supplies makes this the unit of choice for high density, mission critical, high reliability applications." said Loofie Gutterman, Geotest President.
"The 20 slot configuration with its 19 peripheral slots provides users and integrators with the flexibility to configure high performance and complex functional test systems using only a single PXI chassis."
Available in desktop, rack-mount, and ITA configurations, the GX7000A accommodates up to 19 3U or 6U PXI or cPCI instruments. Slot 1 is dedicated for an embedded or remote controller, Slot 2 can be used by a PXI Star Trigger Controller or by a PXI/cPCI instrument, Slots 3 through 15 provide Star Trigger support, and Slots 16-20 accommodate PXI or cPCI instruments without the Star Trigger. The GX7000A provides an integral 10MHz PXI clock and is available with 800 or 1100 watts of system power. The GX7000A is available for delivery now.
