Marvin Test Solutions Announces New SmartCan™ Orders
Extension of Global Installed Base Includes Many “Firsts”
Irvine, Calif. – January 30, 2018 – Marvin Test Solutions, Inc., a trusted provider of globally-deployed innovative test solutions for military, aerospace, and manufacturing organizations, announced that it has received new contracts for its MTS-3060 SmartCanTM from multiple international customers to support armament systems test on different platforms. When deployed, the SmartCan’s international customer list will grow to 12 countries using 8 different aircraft of various types and blocks.
The new SmartCan contracts cover F/A-18, Hawk, F-16, and F-15 as well as the first Army test application.
Flightline Test in Your Hand
The handheld MTS-3060 SmartCan is a universal O-Level armament test set capable of testing both legacy and "smart", MIL-STD-1760-based, weapons systems. The SmartCan supports multiple aircraft and armament systems in a single hand-held, battery-operated unit, allowing maintainers to benefit from a common test set for multiple systems. The advanced capabilities of the MTS-3060 enable it to bridge the Armament Test Gap that exists on legacy and 5th Gen platforms.

Proven Solutions to be Featured at 2018 Singapore Airshow
MTS will showcase the SmartCan along with a range of proven solutions for smart and legacy armament systems test at the 2018 Singapore Airshow, February 6 – 9, including:
- The MTS-209 I-level Common Armament Test Set - A rugged, portable common armament systems test set for F-16, F-15, TA-50, FA-50 and other aircraft
- The MT1888 Series Laser Source Simulators - A family of eye-safe laser target simulators for field and backshop testing of laser-guided munitions including Hellfire, Laser JDAM, Paveway, Maverick and more
- The MT3045 Series Advanced Hellfire Missile Simulator - An advanced Hellfire system pre-load test set and Hellfire missile simulator
