Hellfire Integration Made Easy
This lightweight, DC-only, scalable launcher features small, distributed electronics enabling integration of the Hellfire missile onto many platforms including Canister-Launched Hellfire (shipboard applications), Light Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), light helicopters, and other platforms that can benefit from reduced weight and DC-only operation.
The HSRL's adaptability supports launch capabilities for the entire AGM-114 family of missiles - eliminating the need for external electronics or AC power sources. Compatible with the M299 MIL-STD-1760 interface, it seamlessly integrates into smaller platforms and distributed systems, aligning with modern military initiatives like the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) program.
The scalable HSRL design allows multiple rails to be combined to create adaptable configurations based on the platform’s requirements, including Single-rail, Dual-rail, Triple-rail, or Quad-rail. It can support all Hellfire II (including Romeo) and Longbow Hellfire missile variants, and is software-upgradeable to support the AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM).

Moreover, the effectiveness of the HSRL is further enhanced by its seamless integration with the Hellfire Interface Unit (HIU) and Hellfire Interface Assembly (HIA), which are Hellfire Stores Management mission computers that enable the integration of the Hellfire missile system onto existing platforms. The HIU is an aircraft line replaceable unit (LRU) that can be repackaged to meet the platform’s requirements, while the HIA is a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) that can be repackaged and integrated into existing mission computers.
Both the HIU and HIA interface with the platform’s main mission computer to provide all pertinent information for display on the platform’s multi-function displays (MFDs). Both the HIU and HIA can interface with multiple Hellfire launchers (M299/M310 or HSRL) and support up to 16 Hellfire missiles.

The significant weight reduction increases range and/or duration (loiter time) in the target area and enables arming smaller helicopters and UASs to carry missiles. |
Next-Gen Armament Test!
The SmartCan™ is the most advanced, cybersecure flightline armament test set available, delivering significant reductions in test time, training hours, and logistics footprint, while replacing multiple legacy test sets, improving test performance, and reliability.
Multiple aircraft – manned and unmanned, rotary and fixed wing – can be loaded into a single SmartCan, eliminating the traditional deployment of multiple aircraft-specific armament test sets on the flightline. By eliminating multiple test sets, the maintainer’s setup and test times are reduced significantly.
| MTS-3060A SmartCan™ |
When comparing the test setup times of an F-16 using the current legacy test set versus one tested with the SmartCan, the results are striking: a reduction from 45 minutes to just 4 minutes, representing an impressive 91% decrease. Similarly, test execution times for F-16 pylon utilizing MIL-STD-1760 and a LAU-129 being tested for both AIM-120 and AIM-9X saw substantial reductions from 20 minutes to 3 minutes (85% reduction), and from 35 minutes to 4 minutes (89% reduction) respectively. Notably, F-15 testing yielded similar savings.
SmartCan Setup and Test Times
The AA battery-operated MTS-3060A weighs roughly 4lbs, yet provides more than 30 measurements and multiple e-load channels, and generates audio and video signals required to simulate missile functions for the AIM-9 and AGM-65 missiles. In addition, it supports active, full-functional testing of MIL-STD-1760 by emulating JDAM, AMRAAM, AIM-9X, and other 1760-based weapon systems.
SmartCan and complete SmartCan Kit (including all cables and adapters)
Capable of supporting all armament, including both legacy and Smart weapons across current and future fighters, bombers, attack helicopters and UASs, the SmartCan ensures interoperability and efficiency. Notably, its program load flexibility supports multiple blocks and aircraft types, thereby streamlining fleet maintenance and reducing equipment footprint.
Its intuitive interface ensures rapid user proficiency, while the innovative test language empowers users to develop and integrate their own test programs if required, leading to a reduction in costs and greater independence. Moreover, advanced features such as data collection and storage enable emerging trend analysis and support predictive maintenance initiatives. Advanced cybersecurity features and protections include data and test program set (TPS) encryption and a removable hard drive in the form of a SD card to sanitize the test set.

F-35 Armament Test Unleashed
To ensure mission readiness, the MTS-235A F-35 Armament Test Set performs factory production level test of all AME including launchers, pylons, and bomb racks. It combines the test capabilities of proven Production and Depot test sets in a rugged, flightline and back-shop qualified compact case. Field-qualified, the MTS-235A is ready for I-Level use if the F-35 adopts 3-Level maintenance for armament.
The MTS-235A performs parametric functional tests on all F-35 Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) including launchers (iARL and eARL), pylons (Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air) and associated subassemblies and adapters, with full support for MIL-STD-1760 assemblies and all F-35 interfaces.
The menu-driven structure, developed using ATEasy™, simplifies operation, reduces training time, and eliminates the need for cumbersome tech manuals during operation. It guides the user and creates an operational environment that virtually eliminates operator errors, such as the cable detection feature which automatically prompts the user as to the proper cables needed per test.
